FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

OUR MASTER CRAFTSMAN: In order to become a master craftsman,
you need at least 10 years of working
with carbon fiber, kevlar and combining it with materials like
titanium, aluminium and finishes among others.

Apart from experience to understand the materials and combinations
master craftsman need to understand chemical and
physical characteristics of each material
alongside gathering feedbacks from real use cases.

All master craftsmen are adopted in making complex solutions.
So no order is too complex to make, but it needs time and devotion.

All our manufacturing is Bespoke,
so no product is shipped from our factory that is premade.

AEROSPACE CARBON FIBER: Is the purest and rarest of carbon fiber
with limited manufacturing capabilities and only a few companies can buy it.
We are lucky to be one of those.

Sadly, this means we are limited to how many laptops we make,
as we only use carbon fiber waste from aeroplanes, satellites etc.
Thus we have the rights to stop selling laptops if we don’t have the material in stock.

Aerospace carbon fiber is replacing titanium and aluminium
where there are high end needs,
as is significantly stronger than aluminium and weighs about 40% less.
Titanium is still used but for special occasions and requirements.
Planes made out of Aerospace carbon fiber weigh at least 20% less.

For manufacturing process we only use Autoclave
as it delivers the best quality results compared to standard manufacturing.
The downside is that it requires additional skills and time, but we are more then good at it:)

AEROSPACE 7075-T6 ALUMINIUM: Is still the main material used in aeroplanes
as it’s easier to work with and much cheaper then aerospace carbon fiber.

Compared to grade 2 titanium, 7075-T6 aluminium is 33% lighter
and has a higher tensile strength, strength-to-weight, and stiffness-to-weight.

We use the combination of carbon fiber and aluminium
because carbon fiber is not optimal for heat transfers and signals can be lost in the fibers.
This combination provides the best option for both practicality and quality.

For the anodization we only use RAL Classic colors as this is the standard for the industry.
There is a slight difference between each of the batch per each RAL color,
so please take this into consideration.

SPECIAL UV PRINT: At the UV Print process we have a custom made printer
for carbon fiber with flat bed for parts to be put on.
Colors are mixed in Japan and are specially made for carbon fiber printing.

What makes those colors special is that the longer you put it in the sun
the better they look at.
We use them for numbering the planes or parts, so it should be ok for laptops too:)

Print is also scratch resistant for regular use.
As long as you don’t use any knives or throw it from skyscraper it should be ok:)

Warranty for UV print is 15 years, this includes also for regular use scratch resistance.

MADE TO LAST: Vast majority of new goods design is based on planned obsolescence.
We are against planned obsolescence, as this usually means it was made to break,
same goes for “modular goods” as no technology is the same for 10+ years.
Instead, we focus on making the product to last 10+ years,
so your purchase if more viable and environment friendly.

Picking the right components and materials to combine expands
the life time of a product, but also reduces issues for customers.

Quality control is taking a pivotal role in our products,
and we make sure each step of the process is checked and taken care of,
so you get the product you deserve.

All components are military graded
and are made to last for years to come.
Quality > Quantaty.
